Truck, bus & motor coach repair

Mobile truck, bus and motor coach repair from Halifax to Truro

School buses, mini buses, highway coaches, tractors and straight trucks repaired where they are parked. Ryon is a Red Seal mechanic with over 15 years on buses, coaches and trucks, and he brings the van to your garage, your yard, your shop or the side of the highway.

Mobile heavy-duty repair at your yard, shop or the roadside

Getting a truck or a coach to a shop means a driver off the road, a unit sitting in the queue and often a second driver to bring it back. For most repairs none of that is needed. The service van carries the tools and common parts for the systems that fail most often on heavy vehicles, and the work gets done in your yard, in your shop or at the roadside.

Transport truck repair

  • Engine diagnostics, fault codes and warning lights
  • Air brake systems: leaks, air lines, glad hands, valves, chambers and adjustment
  • Electrical faults, wiring, lights and charging systems
  • Cooling system hoses, belts and leaks
  • Fuel filters, water separators and no-start problems
  • Cab A/C, heating and ventilation (truck, bus and motor coach HVAC)

Bus and motor coach repair

Motor coaches are their own kind of vehicle. The layout, the systems and the way they are serviced are different from a tractor, and a coach full of passengers on the side of the road needs someone who already knows where to look. Ryon has worked on buses and coaches for most of his career, from school buses and mini buses to highway coaches.

  • Prevost, MCI (Motor Coach Industries), Temsa and Van Hool highway coaches, including the Van Hool TD925 double-decker
  • Blue Bird, Girardin and Diamond Coach school buses and mini buses
  • Transit buses, shuttle buses and buses from other manufacturers
  • Engine diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting
  • Air systems, brakes and air suspension leaks
  • Passenger air conditioning, heating, defrost and ventilation
  • No-start problems and 12V and 24V battery boosting, any time of year

FAQ

Truck, bus and coach repair FAQ

Can a mobile mechanic fix air brake problems on a transport truck?

Yes. Air leaks, damaged air lines and glad hands, leaking brake chambers, brake adjustment and dragging brakes are all repairs we handle at the roadside and in fleet yards.

Do you repair Prevost, MCI and Van Hool motor coaches?

Yes. Ryon has spent much of his 15-plus years on buses and coaches, including Prevost, MCI and Van Hool. He knows how these coaches are laid out and where their common problems are.

Can you repair a motor coach that has broken down with passengers on board?

Yes. Call right away and tell us how many passengers are on board and where the coach is stopped. We focus on getting the coach moving safely as quickly as possible, and if the repair will take longer we will tell you early so you can decide whether to send a replacement coach.

Do you work on school buses, transit buses and shuttles too?

Yes. Along with highway coaches we repair school buses, mini buses, transit buses and shuttle buses.

Do you come to the yard, or only to roadside breakdowns?

Both. We repair trucks and buses in fleet yards, bus garages, terminals and customer docks as well as on the highway. Many repairs are easier and cheaper to do where the vehicle is already parked.

What areas do you cover for mobile truck and bus repair?

Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Hammonds Plains, Lower Sackville, Mount Uniacke and Fall River, and the Highway 102 corridor through Enfield, Elmsdale and Stewiacke to Truro. For units stopped just outside that area, call and ask.
